Canadian Museum
For Human Rights
2023–24 Annual Report

Roles: creative direction, art direction,

Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is the first museum solely dedicated to the evolution, celebration and future of human rights. Each year the museum releases annual and quarterly reports containing detailed information about museum activities and financial performance.

The conceptual theme that the museum chose for the 2023-2024 annual report was “Centring Relationships, Moving Forward” and it was also important to represent diversity and inclusion.

We used lines and motion to convey the concept—these lines were used throughout the report, intertwining with images and typography. We also incorporated handdrawn illustrations to reinforce the messaging of each section in an interesting and unique way. In addition, we employed ample whitespace and a contemporay grid structure, with hits of brand colors to add interest and contrast, resulting in a memorable publication design.
